Curly Silver Wire Earrings

I got the idea for these earrings from Stephanie Well's (Double Happiness Jewelry) new Earring Book.  I love the design because it is so simple and yet still interesting and different.  Its a great starting point for a number of different modifications.

Blue Baby Loafers/Moccasins

I loved the Hook Candy Mary Jane baby bootie pattern, so I decided to also buy the Moccasin pattern- and here is the first pair I made (well one shoe anyways).  This pattern was a bit more time consuming than the Mary Janes (the top is made sepeately from the bottom and the two have to be 'sewn' together, and the tie is a seperate string), but still very easy to do.  I think I'm going to try these in 'girl colors' next.

Baby Mary Janes

In the past, I always thought booties tended to look like two sacks with strings, which is why I love the modern styled bootie patterns from Hook Candy (plus the patterns are really easy to follow).  They take a little while since there are two soles per shoe, but I have a friend who made a pair with only one sole and they still look good (newborns wont be walking anyways). I wish I found the site earlier, theres been a couple of shower recently where I know the mothers would have loved the booties.

Crochet beanie with flower

I made this hat without a pattern- I just tried to copy others I've seen. It came out fairly well, but I decreased at the bottom, which makes it a bit tight on my forehead. I'll use it under my snowboard helmet. I really like the way the flower came out. It's all one layer but is raised in parts which gives it depth.

Crochet Shell pattern scarf

I made this scarf from a pattern in Debbie Stollers 'Stitch 'N Bitch Crochet: The Happy Hooker'.  This scarf is very easy to make and works up quickly- I finished the whole scarf in a couple of hours while watching tv.  This is a great pattern for beginners.
