While scrounging around the internet looking for new craft blogs, I came accross 'The Crafty Cupboard', a great crafting blog with awesome tutorials. Since I am still very new to sewing, I attempted the tutorial for the
'Business Card Holder'. For my first card holder, I used a stiffer interfacing and sewed 1/8 inch seams (instead of the 1/4 inch) by accident, both of which I believe led me to have such horriably crooked topstitching. The sewing on the second holder came out great- but I forgot to sew in the elastic!! GRR. I ended up sewing in a snap on the inside to hold the two sides together. Its a great pattern and it is very quick to make (took me about an hour once I finally decided which of my scraps I was going to use).
