In the past, I always thought booties tended to look like two sacks with strings, which is why I love the modern styled bootie patterns from
Hook Candy (plus the patterns are really easy to follow). They take a little while since there are two soles per shoe, but I have a friend who made a pair with only one sole and they still look good (newborns wont be walking anyways). I wish I found the site earlier, theres been a couple of shower recently where I know the mothers would have loved the booties.
